Earlier this year
I had an encounter with a stranger whom I noticed was sad, tired, and with
little hope. He mentioned that he got divorced a year ago, but is still
fighting for his wife and family. I asked if I could pray for him. He accepted.
Afterwards, he
asked "ARE YOU AN ANGEL?" I smiled. He asked the question again since
I did not answer right away. I then responded: "No, I am real. I am flesh
and bones just like you."
I was in awe
wondering what made him think that I may be an angel; I certainly did not look
the part because I was in my workout clothes without a molecule of makeup on
and hair looking a mess.
It took me one
whole day to realize that it was my words that led the stranger to imagine that
I was an angel. After this encounter I am sure that the use of words for good
will are powerful!
